WOMEN’S HANDGUN PROGRAM 2025
The Black Forest Conservation Association’s women’s handgun safety course dates for 2025 are June 9, 10, 11 and 12th at the Black Forest Conservation Association , 189 Back Road, Coudersport, PA 16915.
The fee for the course will be $100 made out to BFCA and must be mailed to Stephanie Gerhart, 211 Heth Road, Coudersport, PA 16915 prior to May 25, 2025 to reserve your spot. The fee is based on the cost of ammunition and targets purchased for the course.
If you wish to bring your own handgun, you may (it will be subject to a safety check). Do not bring ammunition on the first night. If you do not own a handgun wait until after the course to select one. An important part of the course is getting a chance to try different handguns. The instructor will provide eye and ear protection or you may prefer to bring your own (regular prescription glasses or plastic safety/shooting glasses, ear plugs or ear muffs).
Classes will start at 6:00pm and run until dark with the first night being classroom instruction.
You may wish to bring a lawn chair since there is no place to sit while waiting for your turn to shoot on the range. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear suitable for the outdoors and inclement weather. Bug spray is a good idea also.
