Minutes of January 07, 2005 Club Meeting

On January 7, 2005, the January monthly meeting was called to order at the clubhouse at 08:04 PM. The minutes from the previous month’s meeting were not available.

Election Results: Kathy reported the results of the election were that last year’s officers were retained.  John Boraten respectfully declined nomination and election to Secretary and a special election was held with Larry E. Lukehart, Sr. being elected to the office.

Correspondences: Mark Fair called Paul Lilja to donate 1,000 rounds of .22 cal. ammunition to be used for kid events.  Consensus is that we will accept them with that stipulation.  No other action taken.

Paul is still waiting on the bill for the Conservation School van rental.  Notable expenditures were the purchase of 5 3D targets for Archery for a little over $1,000 and $500+ dollars for the spraying of the acreage to be forested in 2006.

Rifle: Rich will hang up the dedication plaque and clean the trash out of the rifle house tomorrow.

Silhouette: Bill and Kathy will schedule the silhouette shoots when the other events have been scheduled.  They expect to have one shoot a month.

Trap: The Trap Committee turned in $100.00 and set their weekly shoot calendar for every Tuesday beginning June 7th and ending September 27th.  Weekend shoots will be scheduled at a later date.

Muzzleloader: Mort will get the shoot dates from Jeff Gill and see that Jim Berger receives them.

Hunter/Trapper education: Tentatively scheduled for June 4th and 5th.

Conservation school: Paul is still waiting on the van rental bill.  This year’s Conservation School will run from July 29th – August 6th.

Gun show: The pre-folded mailers and window cards are ready and will be mailed by February 1st.  The spring gun show is April 2nd and 3rd and the fall show will be October 1st and 2nd.  It is expected that the Remington 700 Classic in .308 will be the top prize for the spring show’s raffle.

House: Rented all next week.  Terry donated a TV to the club.  Todd will remove the old TV for disposal.

Events:

Federation: The club came to a consensus on the various resolutions presented, notably against 3pt Antler restrictions in the 4pt area and splitting the spring Gobbler season in north/south areas of the state.  The club needs an alternate delegate to the Federation.  John Boraten will discuss this with Paul Lilja after the meeting.
